Our Story

Why We Do This Work

Autism diagnoses have climbed sharply across Canada in recent years, and a lot of Ontario families end up stuck between a diagnosis and an actual start date for therapy — waitlisted, unsure what their funding covers, or simply not knowing where to begin. We started Ontario ABA Therapy to close that gap: real, individualized ABA therapy delivered where your family actually lives, without the months-long wait that clinic-based programs often carry.

Over more than 10 years, we've built the company around a simple idea: families shouldn't have to choose between quality clinical oversight and getting started quickly. A lot of providers make you pick one — a highly credentialed clinic with a year-long waitlist, or fast placement with a therapist you never hear from a supervising clinician about again. We wanted a model where you get both: a BCBA who's genuinely involved in your child's program, certified therapists who actually stick around, and a start date measured in weeks, not months.

Your First Step

What to Expect When You Reach Out

Your first conversation with us is a free, no-obligation consultation — not a sales call. We ask about your child's diagnosis, current supports, and what's actually concerning you day to day, and we're upfront if we think a different service or provider might be a better fit for your specific situation. If it does make sense to move forward, the next step is a proper assessment with our BCBA, followed by a written plan with goals you can actually understand and track — not clinical jargon you have to take on faith.

Our Approach

No One-Size-Fits-All Programs

Every child gets a plan built from their own assessment results — not a template pulled off a shelf.

Designed by Our BCBA

Specific, measurable goals set from direct assessment of your child — not a generic template.

Delivered by Certified Therapists

Trained ABA therapists who work with your child consistently, session after session, at home or daycare.

Reviewed & Adjusted

Updated regularly using real session data — not guesswork or a fixed schedule that never changes.

For virtual services, sessions are often led directly by our BCBA — so families connecting online still get direct access to the clinician shaping their child's strategy, not a filtered-down version of it.

Our Team

A Clear Team Structure

We keep the roles on your child's care team clear, because it matters.

Our BCBA

Holds the clinical credential (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and is responsible for assessments, program design, goal-setting, and ongoing supervision across every service we offer. Supervision touchpoints are frequently conducted virtually, keeping clinical oversight consistent without adding extra visits to your family's week.

Our ABA Therapists

Certified, trained professionals who deliver hands-on sessions — in your home, at your child's daycare, or coordinating between the two. They're the consistent, familiar face your child sees regularly, working from the plan our BCBA has designed and reporting data back after every session.

With more than 10 years in this field, our team has worked with hundreds of Ontario families — which shows up less in any single credential and more in how quickly we can spot what's actually going on with a child, and how honestly we can tell you what to expect.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Honesty Over Upsell

If a different service or setting fits your child better than the one you called about, we'll say so.

Data, Not Guesswork

Every session generates real progress data, shared with you — not summarized once a quarter.

Family-Centred

Therapy happens on your schedule and in your setting — not the other way around.

Consistency

The same therapist works with your child over time, and the same BCBA oversees their program start to finish.

Funding & Getting Started

Most Ontario families fund therapy through some combination of the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), private extended-health benefits, and out-of-pocket payment. Registering for OAP and using private ABA services aren't mutually exclusive — many families start with us while their OAP file moves through the queue. Frequently Asked Questions

Our BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) conducts the assessment and designs your child's program, setting specific, measurable goals based on what's actually observed — not a generic template.

We've been providing ABA therapy to Ontario families for more than 10 years, working with certified therapists across in-home, daycare, and virtual settings.

Trained ABA therapists deliver in-home and daycare-based sessions directly. Our BCBA remains involved throughout via regular supervision, often conducted virtually, and leads virtual sessions personally.

No — those are two of our most concentrated service areas, but we work with families throughout Ontario, and virtual services are available province-wide regardless of location.

That's exactly what your free consultation is for. We'll ask about your child's needs and your family's routine, and recommend a starting point honestly — even if it's a smaller program than you expected.

Most of our families are seeking support for children with autism spectrum disorder, but ABA principles can also support children with related developmental or behavioural needs — ask us during your consultation if you're unsure whether it's a fit.

We're happy to talk through your situation on a free consultation call even before a diagnosis is finalized. Most funding sources, including OAP, require a formal diagnosis before therapy funding is approved, but there's no harm in starting the conversation early.
